so after a fun filled chaotic Christmas I now have a sick baby and toys everywhere!
I am hoping she will be well by my birthday! enough to help me enjoy cake and family company
I have been painting and sketching some over Christmas, I want to be updating my store but as yet I am still unsure if it is worth it as I am not seeing much traction.
You may have seen on social media that I have been slowly, painful slow making some Christmas cards, my friend asked if im selling them? I wasn’t sure at first but Im giving it ago.
so I will be adding 2 limited sets of square 15x15cm cards and possibly even some rectangular ones. I have printed them on my ink jet but they do look lovely, remember these are prints of hand painted original watercolour designs. and its my first time printing greeting cards so don’t expect perfection because you will never find it.
today has been truly exhausting, my baby isn’t well so we haven’t had much sleep but lots of crying.
We got very lost in birmingham trying to find the Hippodrome but once we got there we had a lovely time seeing the Nutcracker, Clarke kept insisting they were all pretty princesses, covered herself in chocolate ice cream and got very sleepy and fell asleep on a packed bus on the way home. I had to resist very hard to stop myself buying more nutcracker things for my house even though the mouse king statue was lovely but expensive and with christmas and then disney i just cant justify it; so i may paint a mouse king later.
Once i got little miss in bed and finally ate and had a rest lastnight i decided to paint a scarecrow from wizard of oz, with the new Wicked films out, which was great ive been very inspired.
December has begun and ive already forgotten my daughters advent calender, oops shes having two today i guess. our tree is up, presents are wrapped and now we just await santa.
we are off to see the nutcreacker in birmingham today. im hoping to get some painting in later tonight and maybe even an hour of reading.
Currently ive been painting so many animals but i am struggling to think of what i could paint next as i keep returning to the same animals to paint over and over.
